Booking a Session

First and foremost I want to help you get what you want without leaving you to do the extra work.  I handle the entire process from planning to product because I’m excited about creating beautiful keepsakes and want you to be excited too! The primary way I achieve this is by meeting with you in person to get to know you and to find out exactly how I can help you best.

The Planning Session

The first step in this process is to meet each other and hash out the details. Let’s get together and see where you want your wall art to hang, I’ll bring my measuring tape! Maybe you’re not sure exactly what kind of session best fits what you’re looking for, we can go over all of the options why enjoying a hot cup of tea. If you’ve got any questions about products this is the best time to ask, I will be more than glad to answer.

  • An important thing to note is that this first meeting is where we will schedule everything and set the contract. There is a $50 retainer fee required to reserve your session appointment. The remainder of the agreed upon session fee will be due before the session occurs. Session fees cover the time and talent of the photographer and as such are not refundable once the session has occurred.

The Photography Session

At the session it’s important everyone comes prepared, that means on time and dressed appropriately. If we are doing a family portrait take a good look at the outfits and make sure they are complimentary. That doesn’t mean everyone has to wear the same sweater, but choosing colors and patterns carefully so they don’t draw attention away from your gorgeous faces is very important. If you’d like some suggestions I am more than willing to help. We can even work up a Pinterest board together if that’s your thing.

  • At the shoot I will bring a shot list we have developed together at the introductory meeting. This way nothing you were hoping for is missed and you don’t have to think about anything other than looking fabulous.

The Best Part

I bet you thought the session would be the most exciting step in this process didn’t you? In fact, the most exciting part of any photography session is the reveal and order appointment. This is the first time you get to see the photographs we created together. I will bring proofs from your session to make it easier for you to sort the images into Yes, No, and Maybe piles. Once you have your selection I can help guide you through the best product choices. You’ll leave knowing exactly what you’re going to be getting and daydreaming about showing them off to friends and family.

  • All decision makers should be present for the reveal and order appointment with your product budget in mind. Payment can be received in cash, check or charge form. Products will not be ordered from the professional printing labs until full payment has cleared the bank. Due to the nature of the printing process, once an order is placed with the lab the purchase payment is non-refundable, however every effort will be made to guarantee your happiness with the final product.
  • I do not list my product prices on the web simply because lab prices fluctuate as do the vendors I use. I do bring current price lists to the consult meetings before sessions are booked.
